We are looking for an experienced Fullstack Engineer to work with an international medtech startup based in Switzerland. The team develops technology that combines data, advanced algorithms and AI to support innovative healthcare solutions.
You will build backend services and frontend applications, integrate AI capabilities into product workflows and collaborate closely with engineers and domain experts. As one of the early contributors to a growing team, you will have a direct influence on technical decisions and engineering practices.
This is a long-term, full-time, starting 01/2027, fully remote. Compensation will be based on experience and the type of cooperation.
What we expect
- 5+ years of professional experience in fullstack development, building and maintaining production web applications.
- Strong frontend experience with React, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML and CSS, including reusable components and responsive interfaces.
- Solid backend development experience with Python. Familiarity with frameworks such as FastAPI, Django or Flask is welcome; experience with one specific framework is not required.
- Experience designing and integrating APIs, working with relational databases and writing clean, maintainable code.
- Familiarity with Git, automated testing, Docker and CI/CD workflows.
- Interest in working with AI-powered features, data processing and algorithm-driven applications, with a willingness to develop your skills in these areas.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to own features from design through delivery.
- Good English communication skills and confidence collaborating with an international team of software engineers and data specialists.
Nice to have
- Practical experience integrating AI/LLM models into applications or using AI tools in software development.
- Familiarity with modern UI libraries and component systems such as Tailwind CSS or shadcn/ui.
- Experience with data visualisation, time-series data or complex application interfaces.
- Exposure to cloud deployment, monitoring or modern DevOps practices.
- Experience in a startup, SaaS, healthcare or medtech environment.
